Star Wars merchandising has always been hot, of course, and everyone's favorite--the "Lightsaber"--is always at the top of the list. But we had no idea that there would be competition in a subcategory like Lightsaber umbrellas.
Amazon describes it as "an incredibly limited edition item" from Japan that's "40 inches across and features an automatic telescoping action.

Luke uses the turn signal! The Star Wars Talking Dashboard Statues shown above spout a clever Star Wars phrase when you push their yellow button. Although I'm surprised that they don't have an R2-D2, even though he doesn't speak human he seems more like an ideal passenger for ones own X-Wing vehicle.

A long time ago in a bath far, far away the Duck Side (or Dark Side in a Scottish accent) lurked, or possibly bobbed, though that doesn't sound quite as threatening somehow.
.
Ominously glowing in the duck, sorry dark, the forces of evil lurk.

Finally, a new set of bookends for fans who like to show off their collection of literary Star Wars works. Believe it or not, there hasn't been an officially licensed set of Star Wars bookends since the early 1980s -- and those early, somewhat unrefined pieces (produced by Sigma Ceramics) of 20-odd years ago can't even begin to approach the exquisite detail of Gentle Giant's new cantina set, which pits the roguish Han Solo against the unsavory bounty hunter Greedo. Fans can decide who shoots first in this scenario.

This R/C R2-D2 Action Figure is like a Star Wars fanboy’s wet dream come true. The size of a regular action figure, this tiny droid is fully controllable from the included lightsaber remote. Authentic R2-D2 sounds, turning head and red LED eye complete the package.

Alienware Aurora is well known for their awesome gaming rigs and very cool cases. I have always preferred to build my own systems and use decent looking cases, but with the release of their new Aurora: Star Wars Edition PCs.
These PCs feature some very awesome Star Wars artwork that depicts characters from both the Light and Dark sides.

"Star Wars memorabilia to launch more than a ground attack. Now they're coming at us by air too.
The assault of data-repelling gadgets from the monster franchise continues unabated, with the latest being a set of Tie Fighter speakers spotted by Engadget.

This motorized replica of the headstrong little droid from the Star Wars films responds to voice commands, navigates rooms and hallways, and makes any home feel like it has been transported to a galaxy far, far away. R2 obeys more than 40 voice commands
He turns around, move forward two units, and he plays games like tag, using an infra-red sensor to search for people in a room. His sensor helps him follow behind you, or it can be set to detect motion, turning R2 into a room sentry that sounds an alarm when a secured area is invaded.
